Our client, a prestigious leader in the IT industry, is seeking a Military Veteran to join their rapidly expanding team as a Mid-Level Cloud SysOps Engineer.

You will perform full systems life cycle management, including technical requirements analysis, design, testing, and implementation of cloud-based solutions.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE

• CloudOne/USAF CCE experience
• AWS Solutions Architect Certification
• CompTIA Security+ Certification
• Experience with low-code tools (e.g., Appian)
• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant experience with cloud technologies, including AWS and hybrid cloud architectures (or 9+ years of relevant experience without a degree)

Travel:

• Must be willing to travel 2-4 times a year for planning meetings and provide production support a few times a month during weekends.

Education:

• Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, software engineering, or a related field with 5+ years of relevant experience
• Option 2: High school diploma or equivalent, with 9+ years of relevant experience

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead system architecture design, development, and cloud integration efforts
• Support applications development, migration from on-premise to cloud (AWS), and operations in fast-paced environments
• Utilize FedRAMP government cloud services to continuously monitor, secure, and deploy cloud-based solutions
• Configure, administer, and troubleshoot AWS GovCloud resources, Linux, and Windows servers
• Write and maintain custom scripts (e.g., Bash, Python, Groovy) to manage cloud environments and automate tasks
• Build monitoring dashboards and alerts for cloud-based applications and services
• Collaborate in Agile environments to improve DevOps processes and meet project objectives
