2nd Shift Account Manager Job Description
 
Delta Group Logistics is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented 2nd Shift Account Manager to join our team. The 2nd Shift Account Manager will manage the flow of goods and services from suppliers to customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of logistics systems and processes, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to take initiative and work independently.

 
2nd Shift Account Manager Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage and monitor the flow services to customers
  • Develop and implement logistics plans and processes to ensure efficient and cost-effective delivery of goods and services
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers, carriers, and other service providers
  • Monitor and report on supply chain performance metrics, such as on-time delivery and cost savings
  • Build and book loads for customers 
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and customers
Preferred qualifications
  • Familiarity with best practices in supply chain management
  • Ability to use data in making logistics more efficient
  • Comfort using common logistics management software, such as McLeod/Carrier411/FourKites
  • Strong customer service capabilities
  • Understanding of both warehouse and transportation management
  • Capacity to multitask
2nd Shift Account Manager Requirements and Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Able to work independently and take initiative
  • Knowledge of logistics systems and processes

Salary
This position's starting salary is $50,000 (USD) and goes up based on experience. Commission eligible after 12 months!

Schedule
  • Monday through Friday in office
  • 2:00PM to 10:00PM
  • This position is not offered remotely

All state and federal COVID guidelines are being followed in office.
