Our direct client has an opening for an IT Project Coordinator position. This position is for 12+ months, with option of extension, and will work a hybrid schedule – mostly remote with some on-site work in Phoenix, AZ – must reside currently AZ (Candidate must work Arizona Business Hours).

Position Description: 

• This position is responsible for assisting Cyber Command with the implementation of projects and strategies that promote and support the statewide cybersecurity program. 
• The position assists the Statewide Information Security and Privacy Office (SISPO) with attaining the statewide information security goals and objectives set by the State CISO. 
• This position coordinates the daily operational activities of various projects that support the long term cybersecurity goals of the Department.

Experience Required:

• Manages multiple medium and large-sized projects, including some complex projects, in support of the Statewide Security Program Facilitates the definition of project missions, goals, tasks, and resource requirements.
• Leads planning and implementation of projects.
• Develops methods to monitor project progress and takes corrective action.
• Manages projects based on repeatable standards and practices where possible, but also may require defining new approaches.
• Resolves or assists in the resolution of conflicts within and between projects or functional areas. 
• Works cross-functionally to solve problems and implement changes to resolve issues.
• Proactively and routinely identifies, mitigates and reports project risks.
• Manages and coordinates project budget and resource allocation. 
• Manages and coordinates project budget and resource allocation. 

Experience Preferred: 3 OR MORE years of experience in project coordination and management (or equivalent experience) 

Education Required: Bachelor’s degree 

Education Preferred: Arizona State Project Management Certification, Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred. Experience with Continuous Improvement or LEAN is preferred.
