The A Family for ME Recruiter is responsible for raising awareness regarding the need for foster/adoptive parents in Kennebec and Somerset counties. Our recruiters perform community outreach using a variety of methods to find, engage and support prospective foster parents in the process of becoming licensed. The selected candidate will be part of a team of statewide recruiters and will engage in awareness and recruitment work both remotely and in-person across their assigned counties. This opportunity is well suited to outgoing individuals who enjoy meeting new people and engaging prospective foster parents and volunteers using both new and established recruitment strategies. The position is part-time, 20 hours per week.

QUALIFICATIONS:
A minimum of a high school diploma is required, and a college degree in a related field is preferred. Must be able to consider various perspectives and adjust your approach accordingly, be creative, engaging, and a consensus builder. Prior experience with public speaking, customer service delivery, social services, and/or community engagement is preferred. This position requires local, workday travel and offers a flexible schedule that will include attending up to three evening or weekend events per month.
