Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to support our financial operations within a non-profit organization based in San Francisco, California. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in managing accounting processes, ensuring accuracy in data entry, and assisting with system conversions. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with strong communication skills and a commitment to maintaining precise financial records. Responsibilities: - Reconcile bank accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records. - Verify and process transactions to maintain compliance with organizational standards. - Collaborate with many people across multiple teams to provide necessary resources and resolve financial discrepancies. - Assist with the transfer of data between accounting systems, ensuring a smooth transition. - Conduct detailed data entry and analysis to support financial reporting. - Communicate effectively with lodge officers and team members to address inquiries and provide updates. - Support the treasury team in implementing system changes and meeting project deadlines. - Work closely with other assistants to achieve organizational goals and ensure seamless operations. - Utilize accounting software, such as Sage Intacct, to manage financial data efficiently. Requirements - Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounting or a related field. - Proficiency in bank reconciliations and transaction verification. - Experience with Sage Intacct or similar accounting software is highly preferred. - Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. - Excellent communication abilities to interact with various stakeholders. - Ability to handle large volumes of data entry with accuracy. - Familiarity with hybrid work environments and willingness to attend onsite meetings as needed. - Commitment to ensuring the integrity and reliability of financial records.
