The Role:

Do you thrive on creative problem-solving and get motivated by new tech tools? Then this Art Director, Creative Innovation role is the perfect playground for your left brain meets right brain magic. You’ll create thumb-stopping paid social ads, engaging emails and user-friendly site designs – all while using automation tools to make things easier and faster.

We're looking for a sharp creative mind to initially focus on leading paid social advertising, from initial concepts to execution. Applying the automation platform Smartly, you'll be the champion in streamlining workflows and ensuring our brand identity remains consistent globally. This role also requires someone who's always up-to-speed on the latest marketing tech like AI and data-driven testing, so we can produce quality creative at scale.

What You Will Do:

• Creative Collaborator: Partner cross-functionally with design, copy, photo, production, localization, marketing and technology teams to brainstorm and develop high-impact, scalable creative concepts that align with brand strategy and customer needs.
• Creative Automation Advocate: Excited to explore creative automation tools and push their boundaries? You’ll design reusable templates, maintain brand consistency and unlock the potential of these tools to streamline workflows.
• Visual Visionary: Uphold design standards in quality, design principles, typography and brand consistency. You’ll demonstrate your innovative design skills to create compelling and cohesive visual experiences.
• Tech Innovation Champion: Bridge the gap between design and tech by partnering with internal tech teams developing creative automation tools. Stay ahead of the marketing tech curve and champion the adoption of new tools across all channels.

Your Qualifications:

• 5-7 years of design experience in advertising, direct marketing or digital publishing. We’re open to all backgrounds, whether you’ve worked in in-house agencies, external agencies or freelance.
• Expertise and fluency with a majority of the Adobe Creative Suite and adaptable to creative automation tools. Prior experience with Smartly is a plus, but not required.
• Show us your skills! An online portfolio showcasing design thinking and execution within brand guidelines and templates is required to apply.
• Self-starter with a strong interest in mastering new creative tech tools. Adept in independent learning and seeks to become the company's internal expert on these technologies.
• Excellent communication skills to clearly and effectively articulate design and creative choices.
• Strong collaboration skills – and the mindset that each project is a chance to collectively learn, grow and add something to the team.
• A passion for small businesses – and interest in their experiences, challenges and dreams.
