Authorization Specialist Details and Compensation:

• Location: 100% remote in Texas
• Payrate: $17
• Required Availability:10:00am-7:00pm. Tuesday – Friday and 8a-5p Saturday with Sunday & Monday off

Authorization Specialist Responsibilities:

• · Summary: Assist in monitoring utilization of medical services to assure cost effective use of medical resources through processing prior authorizations.· Job Responsibilities : Initiate authorization requests for outpatient and inpatient services in accordance with the prior authorization list.· Route to appropriate staff when needed.· Verify eligibility and benefits· Process faxes within established standards, follow up outbound calls (can answer phone queue occasionally)· Data enters authorizations into the system

Authorization Specialist Requirements :

• At least one year of customer serviceTyping score of 40 WPM or moreGood at multitasking and data entry. Familiar with Excel, Word, Outlook basic Microsoft knowledge.
• High School Diploma or GED
