Smart Start Dental in Oakland, CA, is seeking bilingual, motivated and detail-oriented professionals for the following positions:

• 2 General Practice Registered Dental Assistants (RDAs)
• 1 General Practice Dental Assistant (DA)
• 1 Pediatric Dental Assistant (Pedo DA)

In this role, you will play a crucial part in creating beautiful smiles and enhancing our patients' oral health. Q ualifications and Skills

• For RDA: Active California Registered Dental Assistant License
• For DA: Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or completion of a Dental Assistant program. 
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is Required
• Previous experience in pediatric and/or general dentistry required
• Upbeat personality a must
• Enjoy working with children and providing a positive dental experience for them.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
• X-Ray Certification required
• CPR Certification required
• Sealant Certification preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during dental procedures, including examinations, fillings, crowns, and extractions.
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment.
• Take, develop, and mount dental x-rays.
• Provide patient care and comfort before, during, and after dental treatments.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
• Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.
• Follow all infection control and safety procedures.
