Job Description

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team in Rockville Centre, New York. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This position requires a proactive individual with excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to maintaining the integrity of financial data. Responsibilities: - Verify the accuracy of financial transactions and ensure proper documentation. - Record financial data in appropriate ledgers and maintain updated records. - Perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts to ensure accuracy. - Handle credit card account reconciliations promptly and efficiently. - Process deposits and record all incoming cash receipts with precision. - Oversee payroll administration and ensure timely processing. - Manage accounts receivable, including tracking and collection efforts. - Assist with additional financial tasks and projects as needed. Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or a similar role. - Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software. - Strong understanding of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes. - Demonstrated experience in performing bank reconciliations. - Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial recordkeeping. - Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities. - Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
