Bookkeeping Manager (Part-Time)

Statement of Job Duty

The Bookkeeping Manager will review client accounts, prepare and send monthly reports, and support our Junior Bookkeepers to ensure accuracy and efficiency. This person will be excited to help clients grow their businesses, maximize profit, and increase their positive impact.

List of Job Responsibilities

  • Check in on monthly reconciliations, financial reports, and journal entries from the bookkeeping team to make sure everything adds up
  • Spot errors or inconsistencies and guide bookkeepers on how to fix them
  • Set up and keep an eye on internal processes to make sure work is accurate, timely, and compliant
  • Serve as the key point of contact for questions and issues, keeping communication smooth and responsive
  • Include "I Love Bookkeeping" in the subject line when applying
  • Support, mentor, and train bookkeepers while also managing your own client accounts
  • Take on complex accounting tasks such as variance resolution, new loan setups, and payroll reconciliations
  • Be the go-to for tricky accounting questions or unusual situations

Requirements

  • Education / Experience: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field and/or 3 years experience in accounting or bookkeeping
  • Tech skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel. Comfortable with accounting software, QuickBooks Online in particular. Double (formerly Keeper) experience is a bonus
