Department: Purchasing

SUMMARY Coordinates activities involved with procuring goods such as raw materials for the organization by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Procures raw materials for production.

Reviews requisitions.

Confers with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule.

Advises production planning of any potential or real problems.

Maintains a professional/open relationship with vendors.

Monitors open order reports.

Expedites late or potentially late deliveries.

Audits questionable invoices for payment by A/P.

Establishes new vendor contacts and develops second sources.
