Job Description

GCyber is seeking a Cable Technician I , to support a high profile DISA customer. As a Cable Technician I , you will support and maintain the telecommunications and network infrastructure within a secure DoD environment.

As a Cable Technician I , you will:

• Install, maintain, and repair fiber optic and CAT6 cabling systems to ensure robust network performance.
• Utilize network cabling test equipment to diagnose and resolve connectivity issues efficiently.
• Adhere to BICSI standards and safety regulations in all cabling activities.
• Collaborate with IT teams to support network upgrades, troubleshooting, and infrastructure maintenance.
• Organize, label, and document cabling infrastructure to ensure compliance and efficiency.
• Conduct routine maintenance checks and respond to trouble calls, providing timely and effective solutions to maintain uninterrupted network services.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

• Active DoD Secret security clearance
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience.
• 3+ years of related telecommunications experience
• 3+ years of experience working as a Cable Technician within the DoD environment
• Related certifications for Fiber Optic Cable and CAT6 Cable installation.
