Job Description

MCA Communications is seeking an experienced remodeling journeyman with strong skills in carpentry and drywall installation. If you take pride in your craftsmanship and have the expertise to deliver high-quality work, we’d love to have you on our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Install and finish drywall, including cutting, hanging, taping, and sanding.
  • Measure, cut, and assemble wood and other materials for construction projects.
  • Build and repair structures such as walls, ceilings, and door frames.
  • Ensure precise and efficient framing and drywall installations.
  • Apply joint compound to seams and nail/screw holes for a smooth, professional finish.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Collaborate with the project manager and team to meet deadlines and quality standards.
  • Follow safety protocols and comply with all local building codes.

Qualifications:

  • Must have your own tools.
  • Proven experience as a carpenter and drywall installer.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of carpentry and drywall tools, techniques, and materials.
  • Proficient in drywall finishing, including taping, mudding, and sanding.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to challenges.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to work in various conditions.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

  • 10 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Night shift
  • Overtime
  • Weekends as needed
