Job Description

Our property in Southwest Florida is looking for a strong Hotel Chief Engineer to help lead the maintenance team of this beautiful resort on the Florida coast!

Hotel Chief Engineer Job Description/Qualifications:

  • Oversee a thriving preventative maintenance program to ensure the safety and longevity of hotel guestrooms, facilities, and equipment is maintained.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations related to waste management, energy conservation, and sustainability initiatives. 
  • Manage hotel maintenance team, organizing efforts around providing a premier facility to support a positive guest experience. 
  • Work with approved contractors to submit bids; and present bids and recommendations. 
  • Excellent knowledge of HVAC systems is required. Certification is preferred.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, components and devices, boilers, mechanical systems and the maintenance and repair of all 
  • Excellent knowledge of public construction and building systems, all related permits, licensing, and new and existing codes about public building and fire safety 
  • A minimum of 5 years of building maintenance experience is required, with hotel/resort experience preferred. Previous engineering management experience required. 
  • Experience in plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and carpentry fields is required.
