Job Description

SCR Civil Construction LLC is currently seeking a Concrete/Construction Laborers working in Houston, Texas and surrounding areas. As a laborer, you will be required to performs a variety of tasks involving physical labor on roadway, highway, and heavy construction projects within Texas (out of town traveling required).

SCR was formed in October 1986 with the purpose of providing high quality highway and bridge repairs and roadway maintenance to local and state government entities. For over 20 years, SCR has been a leader in this market in Texas and continues to grow using innovation and experience.
Job responsibilities to include but not limited to:

Perform general clean up and site preparation
Lift, carry, and hold building material, tools, and supplies and deliver each to the appropriate location as needed to complete the task at hand
Perform a variety of functions such as: dig, minor demolition with power tools and hand tools, install forms and tie steel, mix and pour concrete, clean and seal joints, assist welders and other craft workers, clean and paint steel and concrete surfaces, repair structural steel members, and erect and disassemble scaffolding, shoring and other temporary structures
Assist in traffic control activities and work zone barricade placement
Follow company and industry safety rules, practices, and procedures
Perform other duties as assigned by Foreman and/or Superintendent

Job Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
Previous experience working with concrete, construction, and heavy equipment operations preferred
Own transportation to drive to and from work locations
