Civil Structural Engineer Qualifications:

• Professional Civil Structural Engineer III (PE) with 5–8 years of experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• DE PE license is required (MD is a bonus).
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Solid understanding of structural engineering principles and practices.
• Proficiency in designing with steel, concrete, and wood.
• Advanced computer skills, including structural analysis and design software, word processing, and spreadsheet software.
• Proficient in AutoCAD® and Revit®.

Civil Structural Engineer Responsibilities:

• Site visits between Dover, DE, and Annapolis, MD.
• Design and analyze structural systems for assigned projects.
• Serve as Project Manager when assigned.
• Coordinate structural system designs with architects (clients) and other engineering disciplines.
• Assist the Project Manager in design, analysis, detailing, and supervising project staff.
• Conduct or assist in field investigations.
• Review contractors' submittals for compliance with contract documents.
• Prepare design sketches for final documentation.
• Assist in CAD/Revit® drafting of plans and details.
• Write project specifications.
• Prepare comprehensive technical reports.
• Establish and maintain effective professional relationships with associates, clients, vendors, consultants, and contractors.
