Job Description

JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

Delta Utilities is seeking a meticulous and dedicated claims processor to manage the data and documentation related to claims handled by Delta Utilities.

In this role, you will be responsible for inputting claims information, verifying claims details, and facilitating the handling and management of claims.

Our ideal candidate has excellent analytical skills, strong attention to detail, and a solid understanding of claims management.

Ultimately, the role of the claim’s processor is to ensure that claims are entered timely, handled efficiently and that payouts are fair and in accordance with company procedures.

This position can work onsite at any of our Southern Louisiana office locations.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review and input claims received from claimants and company personnel
  • Coordinate with Claims Manager and Third-Party Administrator to manage claims
  • Communicate with Operations personnel to obtain additional details as needed
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date claim files
  • Process approved claims for payment
  • Any and all other claims related tasks as assigned by Claims Manager

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Minimum education required of the position

  • High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in business or finance is a plus

Minimum experience required of the position

  • Minimum of 5+ years' experience in natural gas utility. 

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position

  • Experience needed in SAP and Mobile Data software's is preferred
  • Proficient in MS Excel handling Pivot Tables, reporting and data analytics
  • Familiarity with Company operations and claims systems
  • Strong understanding of operations policies and procedures
  • Excellent data entry and data processing skills
  • High attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
