Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Clinical Assistant to join our naturopathic practice. The ideal candidate will assist the naturopathic doctor in providing holistic care to patients by handling both clinical and administrative tasks. The Clinical Assistant will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the office, maintaining patient satisfaction, and supporting the delivery of natural health treatments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle administrative duties such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and maintaining inventory of clinical supplies.
- Assist in preparing and organizing patient files, memos, and correspondence as directed by the naturopath.
- Educate patients on basic naturopathic practices, wellness plans, and treatment instructions.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor, providing compassionate care and support to patients.
- Uphold strict confidentiality regarding patient health information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Manage the coordination of referrals, follow-up appointments, and patient communications.
- Prepare and process laboratory samples (if applicable) and manage test results.
- Assist in billing duties including verifying insurance coverage, processing patient payments, submitting claims.
- Assist in reconciling accounts, processing refunds, and resolving billing discrepancies or patient billing inquiries.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a clinical assistant, medical assistant, or administrative assistant in a healthcare setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment.
- Proficiency in medical record-keeping software and basic computer skills.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Starting pay from $20/hour, with potential for a higher rate based on experience and qualifications
