Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented Clinical Coding Analyst (CCA) to join our dynamic, remote team. In this role, you will review inpatient charts prior to billing, identify opportunities to optimize revenue, and ensure coding compliance. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong attention to detail, a deep understanding of ICD-10-CM/PCS guidelines, and a commitment to accuracy in healthcare coding.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct daily pre-bill chart reviews for assigned clients and share findings within 24 hours.
Analyze electronic health records (EHR) to identify potential revenue opportunities and ensure coding compliance according to industry best practices, coding guidelines, and clinical knowledge.
Work closely with physicians to clarify documentation and ensure accurate MS-DRG assignments.
Maintain thorough and up-to-date records in the MS-DRG database.
Provide clients with clear, actionable recommendations regarding reimbursement adjustments, including increases, decreases, or necessary updates.
Address client inquiries and rebills promptly, with responses within 24 hours.
Stay current with evolving coding regulations and industry standards to ensure compliance and accuracy.
What We're Looking For:

Certification as a Clinical Coding Specialist (CCS), Clinical Documentation Improvement Practitioner (CDIP), or Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS) is required.
At least 7-10 years of experience in acute inpatient hospital coding and/or auditing (experience in a large tertiary hospital setting is preferred).
Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS coding with excellent analytical abilities.
Experience with electronic health record systems (e.g., Cerner, Meditech, Epic), and prior remote work experience is essential.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and independently.
Highly organized, with the ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
