Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Clinical Coding Analyst (CCA) to join our team remotely. In this role, you will play a key part in reviewing inpatient charts before billing, identifying revenue opportunities, and addressing potential coding compliance issues. Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily pre-bill chart reviews for assigned clients and provide findings within 24 hours.
Analyze electronic health records to identify potential revenue opportunities and ensure compliance with coding guidelines and clinical best practices.
Work closely with physicians to clarify documentation and ensure accurate MS-DRG assignments.
Keep accurate and up-to-date records in the MS-DRG database.
Prepare and share recommendations with clients regarding reimbursement increases, decreases, or other updates.
Address client inquiries and respond to rebill requests within 24 hours.
Stay informed about the latest coding regulations and industry standards to maintain high levels of accuracy and compliance.
Required Qualifications:

AHIMA-certified CCS, CDIP, or ACDIS-certified CCDS required.
7-10 years of experience in acute inpatient hospital coding and/or auditing (experience with large tertiary hospitals is a plus).
Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS coding and excellent analytical skills.
Familiarity with electronic health record systems (Cerner, Meditech, Epic) and prior remote work experience.
Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
