Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Medical Assistant Intern to join our dynamic team in the field of plastic and cosmetic healthcare. This internship provides a unique opportunity for hands-on experience, learning, and skill development in patient care, support, and administrative tasks. The successful candidate will work closely with healthcare professionals, gaining insight into the specialized world of plastic and cosmetic patient care.
Responsibilities:
1. Patient Care and Support:
- Assist healthcare professionals in providing patient care within the plastic and cosmetic field.
- Attend to patient needs, ensuring comfort and a positive experience.
- Learn and apply proper infection control procedures.
2. Administrative Tasks:
- Juggle light administrative duties, including organizing patient records and maintaining a tidy workspace.
- Assist with appointment scheduling, reminders, and follow-up communications.
- Support in managing medical inventory and supplies.
3. Learning Opportunities:
- Gain exposure to various cosmetic procedures and surgeries.
- Observe and participate in patient consultations, examinations, and pre/post-operative care.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the plastic and cosmetic healthcare industry.
- Ehr clinical software
- Basic medical billing
- Patient support
Qualifications:
- Pursuing a degree or certification in Medical Assisting or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
- Basic understanding of medical terminology and procedures.
Internship Details:
- Duration: 120 days
- Hours: 15-20 hours per week
