Job Overview

Zion Cloud Solutions (ZCS) is seeking a highly skilled Google Cloud (Google Cloud Platform) Solution Architect to lead the design, implementation, and management of cutting-edge Google Cloud solutions for our clients. This role combines technical expertise, strategic thinking, and a customer-focused mindset to deliver innovative solutions tailored to diverse industries, including Public Sector clients. The ideal candidate will have experience with AI/ML technologies, technical presales, and a proven ability to engage with C-level executives.

Key Responsibilities

• Solution Design and Architecture
  • Design and document secure, scalable, and cost-efficient Google Cloud Platform architectures, including AI/ML and Big Data workloads.
  • Develop solutions leveraging Google Cloud Platform services such as Vertex AI, BigQuery, Cloud Functions, and Anthos.
  • Ensure alignment with industry standards, compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA, NIST), and customer objectives.
• Implementation and Delivery
  • Provide technical leadership for Google Cloud Platform implementation, including migrations, modernizations, and optimizations.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to deploy Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or similar tools.
  • Oversee the integration of Google Cloud Platform AI/ML models and workflows to meet specific client needs.
• Technical Pre-Sales
  • Act as a trusted advisor during technical presales engagements, understanding client pain points and crafting tailored solutions.
  • Develop and deliver presentations, demonstrations, and proofs of concept for Google Cloud Platform solutions.
  • Assist in creating proposals and responding to RFPs/RFIs with a focus on technical capabilities.
• Client Engagement and Consulting
  • Work with Public Sector and enterprise clients to gather requirements, develop strategies, and drive Google Cloud Platform adoption.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including C-level executives, to influence cloud strategies.
  • Conduct workshops and training sessions to enable client teams.
• AI and Machine Learning Expertise
  • Leverage Google Cloud Platform AI/ML services, such as Vertex AI and AutoML, to design intelligent solutions.
  • Guide clients on integrating AI/ML into their business processes for automation and advanced analytics.
  • Support the development and deployment of AI-driven solutions tailored to customer use cases.
• Leadership and Governance
  • Define architectural standards, best practices, and governance frameworks for Google Cloud Platform solutions.
  • Mentor team members and contribute to the growth of ZCS s Google Cloud Practice.
  • Ensure project delivery meets business objectives, timelines, and budget constraints.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 8+ years of IT experience, including 4+ years in designing and implementing Google Cloud Platform solutions.
• Expertise in Google Cloud Platform services such as Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine (GKE), BigQuery, Vertex AI, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Storage.
• Strong experience with AI/ML technologies and integrating them into cloud solutions.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
• Experience in Public Sector engagements, with a solid understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements (e.g., FedRAMP, NIST).
• Proven ability to engage and influence C-level executives and technical stakeholders.
• Google Cloud Professional Architect certification.

Preferred

• Familiarity with multi-cloud strategies and integrating Google Cloud Platform with AWS and Azure.
• Technical presales experience, including building proofs of concept and crafting technical proposals.
• Strong programming/scripting skills in Python, Go, or Java.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of ITIL and Agile methodologies.
