Job Description

Collateral Underwriter 



Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze collateral documentation to ensure compliance with agency and investor guidelines
• Evaluate property appraisals, title commitments, and other supporting documents for accuracy and completeness
• Identify collateral-related risks in loan files and communicate clearly to loan officers and processors
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations, investor requirements, and underwriting standards

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of collateral review experience
• Strong knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, HUD-184,  VA, and USDA guidelines
• Certifications requirement: SARS for VA & CHUMS for FHA 
• Familiarity with appraisal standards, title reports, and property valuation practices
• Strong communication skills
