The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a Full-Time Computer Assistant-(GS-0355-09) to work in support of the 47th Civil Engineering Squadron at Laughlin AFB, in Del Rio, Texas.

The primary purpose of this position is to manage all aspects of information systems to include acquisition, support, training, and installations for the Civil Engineer Squadron..

Salary Range is $61,111 - $79,443 based on experience.

Requirements For This Position

RECRUITMENT KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSA’s): 1. Knowledge of DoD and AF computer and network standards, policies, and techniques. 2. Knowledge of servers and commercial off the shelf/government off the shelf software to identify corrective or preventative actions to ensure optimum performance. 3. Knowledge of facility environment and infrastructure to support computer systems. 4. Skills in troubleshooting, recovering, adjusting, modifying, and improving systems to solve conventional problems and provide support that minimizes interruptions in service to customers. 5. Ability to use and maintain a computer system, equipment, and software; analyze computer network, software, and hardware problems and develop effective and economical solutions; and train users on new computer systems.
