Position Overview: The Construction Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying and pursuing business opportunities with General Contractors and other construction related entities to maximize the company's growth and success. The candidate must have excellent knowledge and experience in Business Development, the Construction/AEC Industry, with experience in the Commercial, Schools (K-12), and Healthcare markets being a big plus!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies for business development, contract negotiation, and client relationships.
  • Identify, solicit, and pursue prospective clients within the Commercial, Educational (K-12), and healthcare markets.
  • Manage the solicitation, qualification, and negotiation of contracts with clients.
  • Cultivate relationships with existing clients, providing them with excellent customer service and ensuring their continued business.
  • Attend conferences, industry related events, and networking functions to increase the company's visibility and develop relationships.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of the construction industry.
  • Create and manage project budgets, set goals and objectives, and track progress and performance.
  • Provide guidance and support to cross-functional teams in order to ensure successful project completion.
  • Analyze customer feedback and industry trends and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, proposals, and other materials as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Business or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in the business development, contract negotiation, project management, and client relationships.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in Business Development 
  • Experience with Commercial, Schools (K-12) and Healthcare markets among the AEC industry is a big plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
