Job Title: Controller

Location: Chantilly, VA

THIS IS AN ON-SITE ROLE 

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Controller to oversee and manage the financial operations of our manufacturing company. This is a very "hands on" role at the Plant from daily AP, month-end close, inventory management, cost accounting management (Bill of Materials) would be handled by the Controller. 

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the company's financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
• Oversee month-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
• Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
• Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Monitor and manage inventory levels to optimize operational efficiency
• Collaborate with other departments to support financial planning and analysis initiatives
• Utilize financial software tools such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, and SAP for reporting and analysis

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA or equivalent professional certification preferred
• 5+ years of experience in a Controller or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Audit experience preferred 
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations
• Experience with month-end closing processes and financial reporting
• Proficiency in financial software applications, specifically NetSuite, QuickBooks, and SAP
