About the Role:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Remote Tax Manager with a strong background in Real Estate and Construction to join our growing team. This fully remote role offers the flexibility to work from anywhere, while playing an integral part in managing complex tax issues and contributing to the success of our diverse client base.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage client engagements, ensuring timely and accurate tax filings.
- Review complex tax returns, with an emphasis on 1065s, real estate and construction clients, 1031 exchanges, special allocations, cost segregation studies, and partnership agreements.
- Research and resolve intricate tax issues, providing valuable insights and solutions.
- Supervise and mentor project teams, providing constructive feedback and fostering a collaborative environment.
- Oversee the collection of accounts receivable, ensuring smooth financial operations.
- Adapt to new and evolving technologies to improve efficiency and work processes.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members, demonstrating a commitment to professional growth and team success.
Qualifications:
What makes you the ideal candidate for this role?
- Active CPA license.
- 5+ years of recent public accounting experience, including proficiency in a paperless environment.
- Strong experience reviewing complex 1065 forms, with a focus on real estate and construction clients.
- In-depth knowledge of 1031 exchanges, special allocations, cost segregation studies, and partnership agreements.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to give and receive constructive feedback.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and a critical thinker who enjoys solving problems.
- Tech-savvy with a strong proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and tax software (preferably CCH Axcess & Engagement).
- A collaborative mindset, eager to share knowledge and learn from others.
