T he Role:

Moonbug Entertainment is seeking a dynamic and experienced Creative Consultant, Podcast Series for a short-term contractto help develop and shape the concept of our new podcast slate. This role will focus on working closely with our audio and brands teams to bring innovative, engaging ideas to life, ensuring the podcast aligns with our mission of creating content that inspires kids to laugh, learn, and grow. Additionally, this consultant will collaborate on Moonbug’s audiobook project, working alongside our other contractor, providing creative direction and ensuring cohesive storytelling. While this won’t be the primary focus, it will be a key part of the role to ensure the audiobook content aligns with Moonbug’s high-quality standards. The contract will initially span 3 months with the possibility of extension based on project needs.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Moonbug’s audio and brands teams to create the podcast's core concept, format, and tone.
• Develop unique and engaging content ideas that resonate with children and families, ensuring alignment with Moonbug’s brand values.
• Research and analyze trends in children's audio content, proposing creative and innovative podcast formats.
• Oversee the construction of the podcast's framework, including storytelling approaches, episode formats, and thematic consistency.
• Provide creative guidance on Moonbug’s audiobook project, ensuring a unified approach to storytelling and production.
• Collaborate with the audiobook contractor to support creative direction and project alignment.
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure the podcast fits within Moonbug’s strategic goals and enhances the broader brand experience.
• Ensure both projects reflect Moonbug’s commitment to educational and entertaining content.

Requirements

• Proven experience in podcast creation, particularly in developing concepts and content for children’s or family-oriented media.
• Experience in audiobook creation or other long-form audio content is a strong plus.
• Strong understanding of podcast and audiobook production workflows, including content planning, scripting, and episode structuring.
• Creative thinker with the ability to generate fresh, engaging ideas for digital and audio platforms.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to work closely with cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with brand integration and ensuring content consistency with existing IP.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage timelines and deliverables effectively.
• Experience working with children’s entertainment brands is a plus.
