Responsibilities:

• As a Cyber Security Analyst Senior Advisor, I will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our organization’s cyber security assurance processes. My duties will include:
• Planning, preparing, and executing tests of systems to evaluate results against specifications and requirements, as well as analyzing and reporting test results.
• Performing assessments of systems and networks, identifying deviations from acceptable configurations and policies.
• Measuring the effectiveness of defense-in-depth architecture against known vulnerabilities.
• Establishing strict program control processes to ensure risk mitigation and support certification and accreditation of systems.
• Assisting in the implementation of required government policy and making recommendations on process tailoring.
• Validating established security requirements and recommending additional requirements and safeguards.
• Conducting forensic analysis of digital information, gathering and handling evidence, and identifying intrusion evidence and perpetrators.
• Supporting the formal Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) required by government accrediting authorities.
• Periodically reviewing system audits and monitoring corrective actions until closure.
• Providing guidance and leadership to less-experienced cybersecurity personnel.

The expected salary for this position ranges from $173,400 to $234,600, depending on experience, geographic location, and relevant contractual requirements. My work location will be in Chantilly, VA, and I will be required to work onsite.
