Data Scientist

About the Job:

The Data Scientist is responsible for leading the analytics function to drive datainformed decisions across the organization. This role will leverage data to optimize content distribution enhance audience engagement and drive growth. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the music industry advanced analytical skills and is effective in presenting data that is actionable for key stakeholders.

Essential Job functions:

• Design develop and maintain statistical models and metrics that can be used across the label group to drive significant results.
• Analyze complex data findings into actionable insights and strategic recommendations for marketing campaigns artist development and business strategy.
• Discover track and analyze developing artists and songs using datadriven methods.
• Present findings and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and other relevant teams.
• Identify and track key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to streaming and audience engagement.
• Develop and present actionable insights to inform strategic decisions regarding artist releases marketing campaigns and content strategies.
• Provide recommendations on playlist placements promotional activities and artist development based on data trends.
• Utilize advanced analytics tools and platforms (e.g. SQL Python R Tableau) for data processing and visualization.
• Create detailed reports and interactive dashboards that communicate data insights to stakeholders.
• Conduct randomized controlled trials to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing strategies.
• Provide thought leadership on emerging trends and technologies in the analytics space and help the organization stay ahead of the curve.
• Lead the development of data models algorithms and other analytical tools to support business decisionmaking.
• Collaborate with IT Marketing and label partners to ensure that analytics activities are integrated with other business processes.

Required Experience:

• At least 57 years of experience in data analytics and insights within the music industry preferably using statistical modeling data analysis tools and techniques to drive significant change in an organization.

Required skills:

• Strong ability to analyze complex data sets identify trends and generate actionable insights.
• Proficiency with data analysis tools (e.g. SQL Python R) and data visualization platforms (e.g. Tableau Power BI).
• Understanding of the music industry particularly in the context of streaming platforms and digital music consumption.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Very detailoriented.
• Ability to thrive in a fastpaced deadlinedriven environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Education:

• Bachelors Degree in Data Science Business Analytics Music Business or a related field preferred. Masters degree a plus but not required.
