Job Description

Responsible for managing all aspects of the shipping and receiving operations within our Control Substance facility with a focus on handling of controlled substances in compliance with relevant regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manages the receiving of controlled drug products.
• Manages the shipping of controlled drug products.
• Conducts year end and biennial inventory and report ARCOS monthly reporting and cycle count inventory via DEA website.
• Ability to train internal individuals in handling of controlled substances.
• Coordinates all controlled substance destruction with appropriate reverse distributors.
• Works with Compliance to remain current on DEA regulations to address organization business needs.
• Experience in maintaining DEA compliant systems/processes.
• Knowledge of evaluating orders as part of a suspicious order monitoring (SOM) program with an understanding of diversion risks.
• Knowledgeable in drug quota management drug schedules drug codes and list 1chemicals.
• Knowledge of the security requirements for controlled substance storage.
• Knowledge of the documentation requirements for controlled drug products.
• Other projects as required and assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous supply chain management experience with controlled substances in a regulated industry such as pharmaceutical manufacturing distribution or healthcare.
• Knowledge of DEA regulations and other applicable laws governing controlled substances.
• Experience managing DEA cyclic inspections.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage a team and prioritize tasks.
• Strong good documentation practices (GDP) experience.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office.
• Experience with ARCOS and SOM reporting systems.
• Familiar with common ERP SAP and warehouse management systems.
