Location: Irvine, CA ( ON SITE ONLY!!! Remote applicants will NOT be considered. Please only apply if you are able to work on-site and live no more than 30 minutes away from the office.)

Job Overview

As a Dispatcher, you will play a crucial role in coordinating transportation activities to ensure efficient operations. You will be responsible for managing logistics, communicating with drivers, and utilizing various systems to track and optimize routes.

DUTIES:

• Find freight that best matches the profile of the Carrier.
• Make a 100% effort to keep all Carrier's truck(s) loaded.
• Handle paperwork, phone, and email to shipper/broker the Carrier's Authority, proof of insurance, and other insurance certificates if required, along with any other required supporting documentation.
• Provide excellent customer service by answering incoming calls and customer inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Assist customers with transportation planning and management, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of goods.
• Assist with any problems that arise in the transit of the load when necessary.
• Planning routes and accommodating route changes as needed
• Broker/shipper credit checks
• Rate negotiations (to secure the highest freight rates)
• Load searching & booking.
• Assigning loads and managing drivers.
• Providing customer service.
• Coordinate and schedule transportation routes for drivers.
• Monitor driver performance and ensure on-time delivery of goods.
• Communicate with drivers to provide instructions and updates.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient transportation planning.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints related to transportation services.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Languages: English, Russian
• Knowledge of the freight dynamics.
• Experience negotiating rates with brokers.
• Knowledge of transportation planning, logistics processes, and fleet management.
• Proficiency in using GPS systems, phone systems, and transportation management software.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of DOT and safety regulations.
• Knowledge of applicable transportation regulations and laws.
• Excellent mathematical skills and decision-making capabilities.
• Knowledge of computers for scheduling and other dispatching duties.
• Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
• Ability to multitask with different, and sometimes conflicting, events happening at the same time.
• Ability to work under stress and remain calm and to calm other people during rapidly changing circumstances.
• Ability to relay information in a fast-paced environment.

SCHEDULE:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• On site
