Under the direction of the nursing manager, the ED Trauma Tech Lead will ensure optimal patient care, through education, development, and oversight of the unlicensed staff in the ED and ED Inpatient capacities.
The ED Trauma Tech Lead will ensure quality, consistency, and safety of the environment of care through vigilance, structured evaluation, and preparedness of the ED staff. The ED Trauma Tech Lead will serve to promote a shared voice of staff in their contribution to clinical operations and continuous improvement of patient care.
The ED Trauma Tech Lead will serve as a resource of information to clinical staff, physicians, students, and others. The ED Trauma Tech Lead will assist with the administration and management of personnel, fiscal, and material resources. Responsibilities include but are not limited to a broad range of technical and customer service duties supporting the functions of Emergency Services.
BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.
Five (5) years of experience as an ED Trauma Tech or similar role.
Experience and knowledge regarding scheduling practices.
Excellent interpersonal skills, including tact, diplomacy, flexibility, and professionalism in dealing with staff and visitors.
Proficient computer skills (e.g., MS Office, Excel, Word, iShare based programs).
Experience using and maintaining a database and spreadsheets.
Demonstrated knowledge and ability to work in and facilitate a team environment effectively.
Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
Bilingual (Spanish/English).
Previous participation in a Performance Improvement or Quality Assurance project.
Previous experience in a lead or supervisory role.
Experience with Epic, purchasing/accounts payable.
Knowledge of Premier Medical Management Systems.
Must be able to work variable hours (12-hour days), including nights, overtime, weekends, and holidays.

Annual Full Pay Range: $63,016 - $78,384 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $30.18 - $37.54
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
