Job Description

We are looking for an Environmental Inspector with experience in constructability design to join our team for a long-term project in Upstate New York. This role involves a unique blend of office-based design support and field inspection work, focusing on the construction of critical infrastructure in the region between Syracuse and Albany, NY. The project is expected to span 2 years in design and an additional 1-2 years in construction. Per diem is available in addition to an hourly wage. Responsibilities: Design Support (50%): • Assist in the development and review of constructability designs. • Ensure that environmental regulations and best practices are integrated into the design phase. • Collaborate with engineering teams to identify potential environmental impacts and develop mitigation strategies. Field Work (50%): • Conduct on-site inspections during the construction phase to ensure compliance with environmental regulations, permits, and project specifications. • Monitor construction activities to minimize environmental impacts, including erosion control, waste management, and habitat protection. Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications: • Strong knowledge of NY Article 7 and relevant state environmental regulations. • Experience in both design review and field inspection work related to large-scale construction projects. • Ability to work effectively in both office and field environments. • Excellent communication skills for coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
