Job Description

mHUB is seeking an Event & Marketing Coordinator to join its team. The role will lead event venue rental sales and production, support on brand event production, and contribute to content, social, and email marketing to drive recognition of the organization's impact and growing national visibility. The Event & Marketing Coordinator will report to the Senior Director of Marketing and be part of a driven and entrepreneurial team powered by the organization's mission to impact humanity though meaningful technologies.

Description of Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee mHUB event spaces and opportunities with external clients and internal teams 
  • Run production and event logistics for third-party and partner events
  • Manage event agreements and contracts, negotiating with clients and vendors when necessary, and working with Senior Director of Marketing to report event revenues and payments to accounting
  • Responsible for following facility protocols and work with operations to properly open and close the building as well as noting any damages, facility needs, or equipment malfunctions / needs
  • Align external events with mHUB development and marketing team
  • Uncover large event opportunities and pitch the mHUB venue
  • Track $150,000+ in event revenue annually
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive vendor list for events, managing relationships with all preferred caterers, producers, etc.
  • Work with broader marketing team to support the production and logistics of large, mHUB brand events 
  • Support content, email, and social marketing with regular assignments to ideate, generate, and publish content across main mHUB channels 

Qualifications: 

  • Minimum 2 years of event production experience
  • Understanding of basic A/V equipment and facilities
  • Willingness to work second shift hours, depending on weekly event calendar
  • Comfort directing clients and staff and setting expectations
  • Keen detail to organization and documentation
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with key stakeholders
  • Ability to track expenses and revenue, working with accounting teams
  • At least 1 year of content marketing experience with samples
  • Personable demeanor with a focus on customer service
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks conforming to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines
  • Apply analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work on several projects simultaneously
  • Ability to lift 35 pounds
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Salary and Duration 

  • •    This position is full-time and open for immediate hire 
    •    This position will be onsite/in-person at mHUB’s facility in Chicago 
    •    Salary range is $45,000 - $55,000, commensurate with experience 
    •    Competitive benefits package
