Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Apprentice Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist experienced electricians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in various settings, including construction sites. This role provides an excellent opportunity for hands-on training and skill development in the electrical trade.

Duties

  • Assist in the installation and maintenance of electrical systems and components under the supervision of a licensed electrician.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to perform tasks such as wiring, conduit bending, and fixture installation.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand electrical layouts and specifications.
  • Conduct tests using voltmeters and other diagnostic equipment to ensure proper functionality of electrical systems.
  • Follow the National Electrical Code (NEC) standards to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Participate in high voltage installations while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment on construction sites.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience or coursework related to industrial electricity is preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with reading schematics and blueprints is highly desirable.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical theory, tools, and safety practices is beneficial.
  • Ability to work on construction sites, including lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.
  • Willingness to learn from experienced electricians and take direction effectively.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
