Express Service Assistant – Fred Haas Toyota Country

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Express Service Assistant to support and help lead our fast-paced Express Service Department. This is a leadership-oriented position focused on maintaining service flow, mentoring team members, and ensuring an efficient and productive work environment.
Job Responsibilities
Assist in managing daily operations of the express service department.
Train, mentor, and support express service technicians to ensure consistent performance.
Dispatch repair orders and manage workflow to prevent bottlenecks.
Monitor technician productivity and hold team members accountable to schedules.
Perform vehicle inspections and communicate service needs to advisors.
Support technicians during peak periods to maintain workflow.
Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks, and lubrication of moving parts.
Inspect vehicles for additional service needs and report findings accordingly.
Requirements
Minimum 3 years of main line automotive technician experience.
Strong working knowledge of automotive maintenance and repair.
Must have personal set of tools.
Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and service documentation.
Valid driver's license and ability to operate manual transmissions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Capable of standing, stooping, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
Education and/or Experience
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Automotive certifications or technical training is a plus.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
