Job Description

R2 Fusion, Inc., (FedEx Contractor) is seeking highly energetic & motivated Step Van Drivers to join our team in both the Frisco & Mesquite terminals. Drivers are responsible for delivering and picking up packages and providing exceptional customer service. Candidates must be available to work on a Saturday or Sunday of each week. Weekly pay (based on a 5-day work week) ranges from $800-$950, based on experience. CDL is NOT a requirement, but a DOT physical/medical exam is required (unless MEC card is current). Must have a minimum of 1 year verifiable & professional driving experience (step vans, 18-26' box trucks, straight trucks and/or bulk trucks).

Job Requirements:

• Responsible for organizing packages on truck before routes are dispatched
• Load/unload step vans; verify packages are addressed correctly and in acceptable condition for delivery
• Operate up to 26' step van vehicles safely and in accordance with DOT laws
• Perform daily pre-trip & post-trip inspections (inspect tires, brakes, lights); report any issues to management
• Make every attempt to deliver all packages assigned to the route that day
• Ensure all pick-ups & deliveries are met within designated windows
• Deliver packages weighing up to 150 pounds
• Provide excellent customer service

Other Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year verifiable job-related driving experience on 18-26' commercial trucks in last 2 years (step-van, box, straight or bulk truck)
• Prior experience performing daily vehicle inspections (pre-trip & post-trip)
• Provide 2 professional employment references for commercial driving experience verification purposes
• Possess a professional appearance and wear company uniforms at all times
• Pass a drug test and extensive background screening (no felonies of any kind)
• Able to lift up to 150 pounds and climb stairs without difficulty
• Medical exam is required for DOT/Medical Examiner Certificate
• Experience in the package/delivery industry
• Able to work on Saturday or Sunday each weekend
• Possess a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
• Must be 21 or over with a valid driver's license
• Possess an energetic and positive attitude
• Live within 25 miles of the terminal
• Possess reliable transportation
• High school diploma
