Kickstart your career with H&R Block's exciting Rotational Financial Analyst (RFA) Program! Dive into the dynamic world of corporate finance with the global leader in tax preparation services. This immersive, multi-rotation program is designed to let you explore your passions while gaining hands-on training and exposure across five essential areas of corporate finance. Over the course of the program, you’ll complete six-month rotations in each of the following departments: Accounting, Internal Audit, Treasury, Investor Relations, and Financial Planning & Analysis.

As an RFA, you'll sharpen your leadership skills, grow your professional network, and make a real impact on the business. This role sets you up for success within any department placement at H&R Block at the conclusion of the rotation. 

This role is specifically focused on corporate financial analysis and is not aligned with career paths centered on public accounting. Candidates with a strong interest in public accounting may find this position less suited to their professional goals.

Day to day you'll ...

• Assist with the execution of various company-wide financial processes such as forecasting, modeling, business planning, and development of accounting policies
• Perform technical research on accounting and financial presentation issues
• Provide feedback and offer insights related to assumptions and structure of financial models and strategy
• Assist auditors in quarterly, year-end, planning, and other visits
• Manage the timing and processing of financial reports
• Analyze data and assist in the preparation of various financial statements
• Support quarterly earnings activities, analyze and interpret financial data, and gain exposure to investor meetings
• Monitor and evaluate trends and fluctuations of primary competitors, financials, and client data
• Perform other duties as assigned

 

What you'll bring to the team...:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or in a related field, or the equivalent through a combination of education and related work experience
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
• Ability to identify underlying causes of business issues and recommend appropriate corrective action
• Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the company
• Demonstrated critical thinking skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills to include oral and written communication
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• 0 years minimum related work experience
• Proficiency with spreadsheet modeling and Microsoft software
