Floral Designer

Schedule will vary during retail hours, Sunday through Saturday availability needed

Bachman’s Lyndale store has an opening for a Floral Designer. The position is in need of someone who is attentive to details, is creative and understands floral design.

Job Duties:

• Design fresh arrangement to fill any type of customer order.
• Provide a high level of customer service. Assist customers & sales staff including suggestions, orders and register transactions. Familiar and able to enter orders when necessary.
• Maintain fresh cooler on sales floor and out-of-cooler display on a daily basis.  Quality control daily checks both a.m. and p.m. Ensure timely processing of incoming product.
• Responsible for floral cut product and supply ordering to meet sales goals and control markdowns: (delegate duties of ordering when on vacation, or a day off).  Including bunches, arrangements and bulk stems.
• Perform other duties as necessitated by increased sales, promotions, restructuring of departments positions or assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Thorough knowledge of all aspects of floral design
• Ability to fill any customer request for floral design work
• Must be able to assist customers with ideas for custom arrangements
• A one-year vocational certificate in Floral Design, plus two years of design experience
• Demonstrate exceptional design ability and customer service skills
• Must be able to read and write English, perform basic math skills
• High level of energy working in a fast pace retail environment

Compensation: $19.00/hour
