Overview
Abacus Staffing is seeking skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operators to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to ensure efficient movement of goods within the warehouse. This role is essential in maintaining smooth operations in shipping, receiving, and inventory management.

Duties

• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to load and unload products safely.
• Move materials to designated areas within the warehouse using RF scanners for accurate tracking.
• Assist in shipping and receiving processes, ensuring all products are accounted for and properly stored.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on forklifts to ensure safe operation.
• Collaborate with team members to build and organize pallets for efficient storage and transport.
• Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues as they arise.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency.
• Must be able to operate at least 2 of the following lifts: Cherry-picker, Turret truck, Stand-up, Rider and Electric pallet jack

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting is preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge related to warehouse equipment is a plus.
• Familiarity with order picking processes and materials handling techniques.
• Proficiency in using RF scanners for inventory management.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Shift: 3-4 4-3 with 12 hour shifts, OT Available
