What to Expect

As a Tesla ForkliftTechnician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the operational availability of a wide array of manufacturing equipment. You will apply your technical skills to install, maintain, and repair mechanical and electrical systems. You will work with the highest caliber process and equipment engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and minimize or eliminate downtime.

What You’ll Do

• Diagnoses equipment failures, finds root cause and communicates actions taken to the rest of the team
• Become Journeyman Level on all machines in assigned area and be responsible for preventative maintenance, troubleshooting/repair, cleanliness, and escalation of assigned equipment
• Takes initiative to improve PM documents and schedules, under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor and Leads
• Perform major equipment repairs and rebuilds, (some weekends and holidays required)as well as uses manufacturing systems effectively (MES, Spares Inventory, Issue Tracking)
• Work with Process and Equipment engineering and other cross-functional groups to resolve maintenance issues, improve equipment reliability, review procedures and minimize equipment downtime
• Recommends countermeasures to prevent repetitive breakdowns
• Participates in TPM team while taking on small improvement projects to assist in improving the factory

What You’ll Bring

• Candidate must demonstrate technical proficiency in one or more of the following:
• Robust mechanical experience with a background in automotive / vehicle systems or similar
• Experience with Powered Industrial Trucks or automated conveyance systems
• Experience in warehouse equipment systems – Dock doors, dock leveling, pallet racking repair
• Experience and/or certifications operating industrial equipment (forklifts, scissor lifts, etc)
• Skills in electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting and repair
• Ability to command the english langauge, both written and verbal

Expected Compensation

• Equipment Maintenance Technician - $27.20 - $31.66/hour
• Equipment Maintenance Technician - $32.71 - $36.15/hour
• Equipment Maintenance Technician - $35.30 - $41.03/hour
• Equipment Maintenance Technician - $38.08 - $46.55/hour
• Equipment Maintenance Technician - $42.22 - $51.60/hour

, depending on level + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
