Remote Fortinet Engineer

Core Responsibilities:
- Remotely design, configure, and manage FortiGate Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW) for clients, ensuring robust security measures are in place to protect against unauthorized access and threats.
- Utilize FortiManager to remotely manage clients' Fortinet device configurations and policies, promoting efficient and centralized security management.
- Implement FortiAnalyzer for logging, analysis, and reporting across client networks, offering actionable insights for improved security.
- Deploy FortiClientEMS and FortiClient for secure endpoint management and remote access solutions, enhancing clients' mobile security.
- Configure FortiSwitch and FortiAP wireless solutions to extend comprehensive security measures to the access layer of client networks.
- Apply advanced routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, Policy-Based routing, etc.) to optimize network performance and reliability in diverse client environments.
- Conduct remote security assessments and vulnerability scans, providing clients with recommendations for network enhancements and best practices.
- Collaborate virtually with clients and internal teams to integrate Fortinet security solutions seamlessly into existing IT infrastructures.
Required Qualifications:
- Deep knowledge and hands-on experience with FortiGate NGFW, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiClientEMS, FortiClient, FortiSwitch, and FortiAP wireless.
- At least 5 years of experience in advanced network engineering/architecture with a strong emphasis on security, ideally in a remote support or consulting capacity.
- Expertise in advanced routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and Policy-Based routing.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and the capacity to deliver solutions in high-pressure situations remotely.
- Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in engaging effectively with clients and team members in a virtual environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Holders of Fortinet NSE4, NSE5, NSE6, or NSE7 certifications are highly preferred.
- Experience in supporting clients in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment remotely.
- Knowledge of Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) solutions and their application in diverse client scenarios.
- Experience with FortiAuthenticator to facilitate secure authentication services for clients.
