About The Archetype Strategy

The Archetype Strategy is a consulting firm specializing in business strategy, operational optimization, and workforce solutions within the telecommunications industry , particularly in Division 27 (Communications) and Division 28 (Electronic Safety and Security) . We support businesses with manpower solutions to help execute large-scale projects efficiently.

As we scale, we are seeking a Fractional CFO to help us drive financial strategy, optimize cash flow, and ensure sustainable growth.

Role Overview

The Fractional CFO will be responsible for financial strategy, budgeting, cash flow management, and profitability optimization . This leader will work closely with the CEO and COO to ensure the financial health of the business while supporting scalability, contract structuring, and cost control measures .

Key Responsibilities

Financial Strategy & Growth Planning

• Develop a long-term financial roadmap to support business expansion in telecom workforce solutions (Division 27 & 28) .
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and revenue optimization strategies to improve profitability.
• Ensure strong financial planning, forecasting, and budget management to align with company goals.

Cash Flow & Profitability Management

• Monitor cash flow, invoicing, and accounts receivable/payable , ensuring financial stability.
• Work closely with the sales and operations teams to ensure client contracts and payment structures are optimized for cash flow efficiency .
• Manage pricing models for client contracts, workforce deployment, and service offerings .

Financial Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure compliance with tax laws, payroll regulations, and financial reporting requirements .
• Work with external accountants and legal teams to ensure the business operates within regulatory guidelines .
• Identify and mitigate financial risks that could impact business operations and growth .

Funding & Capital Planning

• Evaluate options for business funding, investment strategies, and financial partnerships .
• Provide guidance on potential financing, M&A opportunities, and capital allocation .
• Work with leadership to explore certifications and government contracts that align with company goals.

Who You Are

• A financial strategist with experience in consulting, telecom, staffing, or service-based businesses .
• Strong experience in financial modeling, cash flow management, and budgeting .
• Familiar with scaling businesses and structuring client contracts for profitability .
• A proactive leader who can balance strategic vision with hands-on execution .

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in financial leadership (CFO, VP of Finance, or equivalent).
• Experience working with service-based businesses, staffing, or telecom industries (Division 27 & 28 is a plus) .
• Proven track record of managing financial operations, budgeting, and risk mitigation .
• Strong knowledge of tax strategy, contract structuring, and funding options .
• Ability to work in a fractional/part-time capacity with flexible availability.

Compensation & Engagement

• This is a fractional executive role , structured as a contract position .
• Compensation will be hourly, project-based, or equity-based , depending on experience and fit.
