Job Description

The University of Dubuque is actively seeking a dedicated Full-Time Faculty member specializing in Aviation Flight Operations for our esteemed aviation program, set to commence in the Fall of 2024. This role is integral to shaping the future of aviation through education and hands-on training.

Candidates should hold a master's degree in aviation, aerospace, engineering, or management, with a doctorate being highly desirable. While prior teaching experience is not a prerequisite, it can be an added advantage. The role necessitates having FAA ground or flight instructor certification capable of instructing private, instrument, and commercial ground school courses - multi-engine preferred.

Experience with turbine/jet operations is highly desired, especially if coupled with FAA part 121 or 135 experience. The faculty member will be tasked with delivering 24 credit hours per year in our accredited aviation program, advising students, maintaining a professional agenda, and actively participating in the broader life of the University.

This position offers a unique opportunity to influence the aviation industry by mentoring the next generation of aviation professionals. Your expertise in flight operations could be the driving force that propels our students to new heights.
