Job Description

Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Generator Field Service Technician in Omaha to perform repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting on a variety of generator sets. The ideal candidate will have experience working with major engine brands and possess strong technical and diagnostic skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform repair and maintenance on all makes and models of generator sets.
Inspect, service, and start-up load bank test equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
Troubleshoot and repair generator components, including alternators, wiring harnesses, safety devices, and battery systems.
Apply technical expertise in engine inspection, failure analysis, assembly, diagnostics, and performance testing.
Identify root causes of equipment failure using logical troubleshooting methods and determine corrective actions.
Service and repair engines from major manufacturers, including Cummins, Detroit Diesel, John Deere, MTU, and Volvo .
Qualifications & Requirements:
1+ years of commercial/industrial experience as a generator technician (preferred but not required).
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record .
Ability to pass a background check.
Ownership of personal hand tools required for the job.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with computers and diagnostic tools.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
OEM training & certifications are a plus.
EGSA certification is a plus.
Ability to lift 75 lbs or more as required.
