Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator Instructor 

Job Summary:  

The Heavy Equipment Operator Instructor will be responsible for providing employees with hands-on training of heavy construction equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop, administer, and lead hands-on training and skill assessment programs.
• Supervise and evaluate employees as they perform assigned tasks.
• Promote and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Monitor and evaluate training program and effectiveness.
• Maintain participation and performance records.

Qualifications and Skills:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 10+ years’ experience working in a construction environment - Minimum 5 years experience operating heavy equipment.
• Must possess a thorough understanding of heavy equipment, primarily, but not limited to: excavator, dozer, motor grader, scraper, articulated trucks, wheel loaders.
• Strong ability to assess skills and competencies of operators and their potential.
• Experience providing training to both large and small groups.
• Strong leadership and proactive problem-solving skills.
• Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• Valid driver’s license required.
