For over 125 years, Calvary Hospital and Calvary @Home located in the Bronx, New York has been dedicated to the palliative care of advanced cancer and other terminally ill patients and their families. Through a caring, compassionate, philosophy of non-abandonment, the hospice provides a full spectrum of palliative services, including emotional, spiritual, and physical care. Requirements

Assist in the planning, implementation, documentation and coordination of patient care services when the Agency offices are closed and responds to patient and staff calls, as well as emergencies that may occur.

Schedule: Mon- Fri, 9am - 5pm (Remote/ Weekends only)

Status: Per Diem

Salary:  $54.65 - $68.71 per hour

Qualifications:  

• A minimum of three (3) years experience in Nursing, which includes Medical-Surgical, Oncology and/or Community Health Home Care and Hospice.
• At least one (1) year of experience in Hospice is preferred.
• Exhibits an ability and attitude relative to the spirit of caring and tradition at Calvary Hospital as required by specific job duties and functions.

Education:  

• A Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from an accredited school is preferred.
• Current New York State Registered Professional Nurse’s License

COVID-19 vaccination is strongly encouraged for all new hires prior to beginning employment at Calvary Hospital.
