The Best Western Plus is looking for a Front Office Manager to join our strong team. We are located in Oak Harbor, WA. on Whidbey Island. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, punctual, and engaged.

The Front Office Manager (FOM) 0versees the daily operations of the front desk and reception areas. Their responsibilities include check-in and check-out processes, addressing guest inquires and concerns, and facilitating communication between hotel departments.

Responsibilities

• Guest Services and Check-in/Check-outs
• Greet and check in guests promptly & effectively
• Manage reservations, room assignments, and upgrades
• Ensure smooth check-out process, including billing and settling accounts
• Supervise the Front Desk staff
• Train new front desk employees and provide ongoing training to staff
• Handle guest inquires, requests, and complaints professionally
• Ensure guest satisfaction by resolving issues promptly and effectively
• Facilitate communication between front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and other hotel departments
• Collaborate with housekeeping to manage room availability and cleanliness
• Coordinate with reservations and sales teams for group bookings and special events
• Manage guests accounts, including room charges, deposits, and billing
• Monitor revenue and expenses related to front desk operations
• Maintain accurate records related to guest incidents and security issues
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance front desk efficiency
• Utilize hotel management software effectively
• Uphold brand standards and ensure consistent service quality
• Conduct regular inspections of the front desk area and public areas

Qualifications

• Strong Customer Service experience and/or hotel front office supervision
• Preference but not mandatory, bachelor's degree in hospitality or experience in the hospitality field 2-5 years. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and property management systems.

Pay Scale

Starting pay: $18.10 - 19.10/Hr.

Raises on performance evaluations yearly
