Job Description

Midwest Health Inc is looking for an entry level, detail-oriented, Human Resources Assistant, whose main responsibility will be managing various administrative and reporting functions for the HR department

To be successful in the position, you should have an excellent attendance record and the ability to adapt to change and growth within our company. You should also have strong interpersonal skills, be able to maintain reliable records, and collaborate with other departments.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and audit HRIS systems for accuracy and completeness
  • Assist with unemployment claims
  • Assist with scholarship tracking
  • Support with background checks and maintain proper record of checks ran
  • Track certifications and licenses
  • Assist with workers’ compensation claims
  • Handle payroll tax filings
  • Perform COBRA benefits administration
  • Assist Human Resources Department with various HR functions as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent work related experience.
  • One year HR experience, preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of key HR concepts, employment law, and regulations.
  • Detail oriented and well organized.
  • Ability to practice a high degree of confidentiality and discretion.
  • Excellent organizational and computer skills to include Microsoft Products.
  • Ability to travel as needed (approximately 10%), with occasional overnight travel required.
